Away Message
The Tuesday after a long weekend should feel awesome.
But it never does, does it? It feels kind of like a super-Monday. Short weeks are tougher than regular five-day weeks, I think. And this week I have my hands full. For today, I’m giving you a bit of an “away message” because I know I’ll be off doing all the things I need to do so I don’t end up getting run over by my week.
Still with me?
Today (well yesterday, actually) I am honored (and more than a little nervous) to be sharing my words over at Sisterwives Speak. Please join us over there to talk about building castles in the air and getting to know your true self…
Next.
I’ve been running book stuff on Tuesdays for quite a few weeks – book reviews, author interviews, etc. This week I’m kind of between readings, but in keeping with my Tuesday book theme, please go visit Lizzi on her blog for the latest in her Slip of the Lit series. She has some really great tips on the care and feeding of your favorite newly-published author. It’s a great post and well worth the read.
The Rotten Cats are holding down the fort while I’m gone. Give them a little hello and a scratch behind the ears, would you? It makes them happy.
XO
Have a good week. Hope it doesn’t run you over, and THANK YOU for writing for SW, and for sharing your piece here, and for giving me a shout-out, too 🙂
I think we’ve got it under control – I even have a menu plan for dinner! Only strange variable is getting the car fixed, but I’ll be bringing Lisa Kramer and Helena’s books along to keep me busy.
Thanks for HAVING me at SW and you’re more than welcome for the shout-out. Great piece.
Yay for you being on sisterwives! I’ll be heading over later.
🙂
Hi Rottens! **scritch…scritch**
Meow. Meow. Meow. Hi, Douglas!
Have a great week. Mine is frightfully busy too!
Thanks, Pam. Sign of a life well-lived, right? 😉
Oh beautiful cats, are they related?
I do like my long weekends, but have to work double hard the week before to make sure everything is done so I can relax Now how is that restful?
Hi, Piper. Yes, they are related – the last three brothers left from a litter of nine (I think). We originally adopted two, but the last brother was so miserable in the weeks after that the foster lady called and asked us to please take him. We did and we could not be happier with that choice. They are very handsome cats.
I hear you about long weekends. Only I feel it on the other end – the week after feels so cramped and stressful because you have to fit a week’s worth of life into fewer days!
You are really getting your writing out there! Good for you. I am loving your 6 sentence pieces.
Yeah, I guess I am! I had a bunch of very fallow days, let me tell you. It’s amazing what wonders a prompt can do. And the six sentence pieces are quite fun – I am enjoying those immensely.
