A Triple Headache
Say hello to my three little headaches, fondly known as Rotten Cats One, Two, and Three.
Kidzilla and I are attempting to grow sunflowers and Gerbera daisies. The Rotten Cats think they are kitty snacks. The Rotten Cats are wrong. Very wrong.
On a positive note, please notice the vacuum cleaner marks on the side of the stairs. My Mom will be so proud.

Cats will be cats. One of my cats chews on my houseplants, too. Maybe that contributes to the reason why my plants have such a short lifespan.
We have a definite love/hate relationship, my cats and I. I just put the poor plants out on the porch to save them from cat teeth. Let’s see what happens now.
Very nice vacuum tracks Lisa. I am also proud of you. M
Thank you. Hub put them there. 🙂
I noticed the vacuum track marks before you pointed them out. Impressive!
While I know you want sunflowers for yourself, at least your cats’ favorite chew toy isn’t toxic to them. Let me know if you find a solution to keep the kitties away. Who would have thought that aloe is toxic to cats? I Googled it when I notice my cat had eaten half my plant, and we had to live with “intestinal distress” until it all cleared her system. This is why we can’t have nice things!
This is exactlywhy we can’t have nice things. Cats! We repotted the sunflowers this afternoon – nothing died (yet) so we’ll see. At least they are on the deck and safe from cats’ teeth. The Gerbera daisies may not fare as well…one has lost all its blooms and, despite some teeth marks on the leaves, at least seems to be holding up well. It’s twin, however, is wilty and sad. Did some pruning and put it out on the deck. We’ll see if the little guy survives.
Those cats look like they’re having a meeting of the Up To No Good Society. Sorry about your plants. 🙁
Yeah, they are card-carrying members. Such bad cats…
Silly kitties…
They are so going to get it if they don’t stop chewing. The spray bottle thing is not at all keeping them away…but on a positive note, it makes the plants awfully happy!
Ooh did you use the long octopus arm thing to do the sides? I love that thing. Though I always end up sucking my socks at some point.
I am very bad at vacuum cleaner attachments…just happy enough to have a semi-clean floor most days. 🙂 But that long arm thing does indeed suck up just about anything – probably should keep it away from the cats.
