OctPoWriMo Day 2 – White
So I’m back for day two. So far, so good.
Today’s OctPoWriMo prompt encourages us to “write cinematically,” to convey a visual scene. I don’t know if I’ve done that, but here’s today’s offering…
White
all around
on top
on bottom
on both sides
snow
blizzard
clean white sheets —
not the kind with dots
or stripes or flowers
but the plain kind —
the kind you see drying in the sun
snapping in the breeze
billowing waves
of soft white cotton

This is wonderful and I swear I’m smelling sheets drying with the kiss of sunshine.
Yay!
GORGEOUS!!! I LOVE this. My fave so far.
Lovely!
Thank you, Grace.
I could definitely see and hear those sheets ruffling in the wind. Good description!
Thanks, Marcia!
I adore white sheets. The scent of them clean. Love.
Clean sheets are awesome. WHITE clean sheets? Best!
Love the way you have expressed, lovely write!
Thank you!
I was just taken back to helping my grandmother hang laundry.
Thanks, Jesi. Me, too.
This is a lovely vision … it reminds me of my childhood and running between the sheets on the clothesline out in the back yard …
That was such a fun thing to do, wasn’t it?
Yes it sure was!
