“OK, we have the paper supplies and decorations in the colors you picked – main color and accent color.”
“Check.”
“We have all of the food so we can start prepping tomorrow, and we assembled the awesome-looking treat bags this afternoon.”
“Check and check.”
“OK, then we’re all set!”
“Mom,” she said, “this is going to be the most excellent and jawsome shark party ever!”

I remember well the preparation of birthday parties and the eager anticipation our children all those years ago. This took me back.
