TToT – Not Quite Full Swing
Sometimes life is just about getting it done.
This is one of those weeks. I am short on time, but didn’t want to miss posting so we’ll go with pure function this week.
With two weeks of school in – each only four days because we started back before Labor Day, we aren’t quite in the full swing of things, but we’re getting there.
Zilla is happy and positive about school, her confidence is growing, and she is eager to be there.
We’ve met Zilla’s new teacher and we just love her. Looks like this will be a very good year.
We are finding our sense of routine again.
The Rottens are behaving themselves.
At-home self-employed work efforts continue to move forward.
The Hub. His coffee. His efforts to always do what is in his power (and even attempts to do what is not) to make sure Zilla and I are safe and happy.
Great trip to the mountain for Vulture Day last weekend. I did get some good pics – maybe I’ll share those for Wordless Wednesday.
My awesome brother-in-law for fixing our kitchen sink and saving us a visit from the plumber.
Cooler weather and a reprieve from the unbearably hot and humid conditions we had most of the last week.
Could it really be fall soon?

That’s it for me – gotta go. I think it’s unlikely that I’ll get around to read and comment on everyone’s posts this week and I’m sorry about that. I think I’m going to be off the Internet for a couple of days so I’ll catch up with you soon.
In the meantime, it’s your turn for thankfuls…show us what you’ve got.
You know the drill – share ’em or link ’em! And have a great week!
Your hosts
Enjoy your break from the Internet! I understand about needing those sometimes.
Definitely, Jean.
Avoiding a plumber bill?!?! HUGE. We had the plumber come this week to get the sump pump working again. And you know if it needed to be working, that was not a good thing. But it’s fixed now.
Glad the Rottens’ bowels are behaving themselves.
And I’m still so happy for all of you that Zilla’s got a gem of a teacher this year.
My stomach hurts I’m so nervous. And it’s pouring rain. I head out when the rain slows. Wish you were coming.
Yeah, avoiding the plumber is a big one.
The Rottens are now puking…honestly, why do they torture me??? Hairball season.
Sounds like both of our girls are on a good track so far this school year – hooray!
I so wish I was coming. It’s kind of why I need to avoid the Internet right now. I’m just so very sad that I can’t. And now Lizzi’s not coming by here, either, which makes it all the worse. 🙁
We all need a break sometimes.
🙂
Understood.
Glad your have a supportive spouse and father for your daughter. Glad she has a teacher you all like. That can make or break a school year. I have those teachers I will never forget, for both the good and the bad reasons.
The Hub is a great guy, Kerry. Drives me insane…but that’s part of the package. 😉 😀
I was short on time this week too! I think once we settle in completely to the new schedules things will be more relaxed.
Does your brother in law travel? Hard to find a good plumber!
Yes, Christina, I think once the new schedule is really in place, things will jsut run smoothly. Our first two weeks of school were kind of nuts – the four day weeks with the long holiday in the middle are so bizarre. Hope you are all settling in this week.
